Let America Vote statement on New Hampshire court’s move to block Senate Bill 3 voter-suppression law

Kansas City, MO —  Let America Vote Board Chairman Abe Rakov issued the following statement on Monday in response to news that a New Hampshire court blocked the state from enforcing provisions of Senate Bill 3 during next month’s midterm election.

“SB 3 represents a clear danger to democracy in New Hampshire, and we’re relieved to see it invalidated ahead of this critical upcoming election,” Let America Vote Board Chairman Abe Rakov said. “New Hampshire Republicans, led by Gov. Sununu, seized on President Trump’s lies to create unnecessary barriers to voting and disenfranchise eligible Granite State voters. They did this to try and rig the 2018 election in their favor. Today’s ruling is an important step toward overturning those barriers and ensuring elections in New Hampshire remain free and fair.”
