Let America Vote Endorses NM Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver for Re-Election

Let America Vote today endorsed New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver for re-election. Secretary Toulouse Oliver was a leading voice in opposition to President Trump’s sham voting commission’s request for Americans’ private voter data, and has committed to fighting voter suppression and expanding the franchise.

“Secretary Toulouse Oliver has proven to be a fierce advocate for voting rights while restoring ethics and transparency to the New Mexico Secretary of State’s office,” said Jason Kander, President of Let America Vote. “Secretary Toulouse Oliver has quickly demonstrated her commitment to deliver secure, fair and accessible elections in New Mexico, and she supports important reforms like automatic voter registration that would bring more eligible voters into the democratic process. Let America Vote is proud to support Maggie Toulouse Oliver’s re-election campaign.”

“Now, more than ever, we all need to join together to ensure the security and integrity of our elections,” New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver said. “Groups like Let America Vote work every day to make sure that every vote counts and every eligible voter gets to cast a ballot. I am honored to have their support in my bid for re-election to continue my work to ensure public trust in New Mexico elections.”

Let America Vote today announced endorsements in six secretary of state races across the country, and will continue to announce support for voting rights champions up and down the ballot leading up to the 2018 elections.
