Let America Vote Endorses Jocelyn Benson for Michigan Secretary of State

Let America Vote today endorsed Jocelyn Benson in the race for Michigan secretary of state.

“Jocelyn Benson is one of the fiercest advocates for voter protection in the country, and I know she’ll administer fair and accessible elections as Michigan’s secretary of state,” said Jason Kander, president of Let America Vote. “Having led a national voter protection effort and a focused, non-partisan one in Michigan, Jocelyn has already demonstrated her commitment to making sure that all eligible voters have access to the ballot. That’s why let America Vote is proud to endorse her.”

“I am grateful to have the support of Let America Vote as it builds a national movement to fight efforts to make it harder for eligible voters to cast a ballot,” Benson said.  “As Michigan’s Secretary of State, I will seek to be our state’s chief advocate for voters and will fight every day to make it easier to vote, harder to cheat, and protect the voting rights of all of our citizens.”

Let America Vote today announced endorsements in six secretary of state races across the country, and will continue to announce support for voting rights champions up and down the ballot leading up to the 2018 elections.
