Sununu signed one of the most egregious and unnecessary voter-suppression bills in the country,” said Let America Vote Senior Policy Advisor Leigh Chapman. “HB 1264 effectively institutes a poll tax on college students who move to New Hampshire from out of state. This legislation makes no sense as public policy, but it will help Republicans win elections — which is Gov. Sununu and the GOP legislature’s true objective.”
