Missourian: Jason Kander encourages community to fight voter suppression

COLUMBIA — Former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander is urging people in Missouri to take a stand against voter suppression.

Kander, along with Stephen Webber, chair of the Missouri Democratic Party, spoke Monday at Shakespeare’s Pizza downtown to a group of about 75 people to facilitate public dialogue on voting rights. The event was hosted by the Missouri lawyer chapter of the American Constitution Society, a network of roughly 200 attorneys in Missouri.
