Knock Doors and Win: GOTV Door-Knocking Competition

By Emily Kong, digital organizer, Let America Vote

Election Day is less than two weeks away and we have our foot on the gas protecting voting rights.

We turned our hard work into a lot of fun last weekend with our GOTV door-knocking competition, when our teams in five states competed to knock on the most doors, make the most calls and send texts to mobilize voters to the polls in support of voting-rights champions.

It was a fierce competition with rivalries from the summer door-knocking competition still raging. Who took home the crown?  Scroll on to find out.

Our celebrity team captains got this friendly competition started off right.

Bradley Whitford even jumped in to cheer on Georgia.

This time around, our five teams stepped it up with their hype videos.

Then we turned up the volume with our door-knocking playlist:

Our teams hustled up and got to work:

At the end of Day One, our teams were leaving nothing behind:

The best part about our door-knocking competition? The selfies:

Special shoutout to our ultra-cute New Hampshire mascots:

In the end, the winner was … 🥁 🥁 Team #LAVisPeachy from Georgia!! 🥁 🥁

Let’s not forget about who the real winner of the competition. Democracy! The conversations our teams had with voters across the country will help elect leaders who will stand up for access to the ballot box.

Now we’re hyper-focused on GOTV and talking to voters before Election Day is here. Want to join one of our five teams and knock on doors? Sign up here or letamericavote.org/volunteer text VOLUNTEER to 44939.
