Let America Vote Praises Governor McMaster for Allowing Voters to Request Absentee Ballots in Primary

Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement praising Governor Henry McMaster (R-SC) for signing legislation to allow all registered voters to vote by absentee in the June 9th primary, and urging the Governor to expand the decision to November:

“Governor Henry McMaster signing legislation to allow all registered voters to request an absentee ballot for the June primary is a critical step towards protecting South Carolinians’ health and access to the ballot. While we applaud the Governor for his leadership, we urge him to expand the decision to also apply to the November election. South Carolina voters’ right to vote safely should be protected in the face of the coronavirus outbreak. Our democracy depends on it.”
