Jason Kander Statement on Nevada State Senate Recalls

Following the defeat of a GOP effort to recall state senators Joyce Woodhouse and Nicole Cannizzaro in Nevada, Let America Vote President Jason Kander made the following statement:

“The recall effort led by Senator Michael Roberson was an assault on our democracy, and its failure today was a victory for every Nevadan. Let America Vote was proud to stand against Senator Roberson and his attempt to subvert democracy, and we’ll be ensuring that voter suppression in all forms is met with political consequences with our Nevada operation ahead of November’s elections.”

Last year, Let America Vote inducted Senator Michael Roberson into its Voter Suppression Hall of Shame, a list of the most active vote suppressors in the country.
