FARR FROM FAIR: Jason Kander Statement on Thomas Farr’s Approval by Senate Judiciary Committee

Following the Senate Judiciary Committee’s party line vote to confirm Thomas Farr as a federal district judge in Eastern North Carolina, Let America Vote President Jason Kander made the following statement:

“Thomas Farr has a history of supporting voter suppression that totally disqualifies him from service as a federal judge. From his involvement in a voter suppression scheme that intentionally spread misinformation to African American voters to his defense of restrictive and unnecessary voter ID laws, Thomas Farr has an appalling record that would make him an embarrassment if confirmed. The Senate should take a firm stand in support of voting rights and reject Thomas Farr to keep him from further assaulting voting rights in North Carolina and across the country.”
